2025 INTERNATIONAL KONYA HALF MARATHON AND 10 KM ROAD RACE STATUS

  • The competition will be held in accordance with the Turkish Athletics Federation and WA (World Athletics) competition rules.

  • Foreign athletes will be able to participate in the competitions provided that their visa for Turkey has not expired and they present their passports.

  • In the 10 km road run, no monetary award will be granted to foreign athletes.

  • No private vehicles will be allowed to travel along with the athletes during the competition. Only authorized vehicles will be allowed on the track.

  • The necessary health, security, preparation of the competition course and the provision of chest numbers and the installation of the chip system will be provided by KONYA METROPOLITAN MUNICIPALITY, organizer of the competition.


  • All organization belongs to KONYA METROPOLITAN MUNICIPALITY and technical issues are under the supervision of Turkish Athletics Federation and Konya Athletics Provincial Representative.

  • Athletes who took part in the competition and ranked in the competition must wear the jersey, showing the meaning and importance of the day given by the organizer at the award ceremony.

  • Chest numbers and running kits distribution information will be announced on our website in the coming days. Mass number distribution will not be made, and the organization officials should not be insisted on the subject.

  • Athletes participating in the competition will be deemed to have read and accepted the following statement on the registration page.

  • Half marathon participants must be at least 16 years old as of May 26, 2024.

Responsibility during the event belongs entirely to the participants. Participants will fill out a consent form at the time of registration.







"I, the undersigned, on behalf of myself and my heirs, executors, and personal and legal representatives, hereby declare that I exempt the organizers, officials, and representatives of the event from any and all responsibility in the event of any injury, damage, or death that may occur to me during the events before and after the 2024 '26 May Konya Half Marathon'. I acknowledge that I do not have any medical disability that prevents me from participating in this run, and I confirm that I am physically capable of participating in the run. I also give permission for all photographs and film recordings taken during the 2024 '26 May Konya Half Marathon' to be used for any legal purpose, including advertising. I understand that if I do not participate in the event for any reason after registering, I waive all my rights related to my registration."



Time Measurement:

Time measurement will be done through the chips that will be given to the competitors.

The time limit for the race is 180 minutes for the half marathon.


* All categories will be classified according to "Gun Time" in the General Classification and "Mat Time" in the Age Categories.


GATHERING PLACE

Competitors will gather in front of Mevlana Cultural Center, the starting point of the runs, before the competition.

DISQUALIFICATION

The chest number cannot be handed over to others. Leaving the race route, changing the route, not wearing the chest number at chest level, and handing the chest number to others will result in disqualification. Athletes who do not pass through the checkpoints on the route will be disqualified. Cameras will be placed at strategic points along the course to monitor the competition. The technical rules of the event will be applied in accordance with the relevant instructions of the Athletics Federation and the WA instructions.

PERSONAL BELONGINGS

Participants are advised not to bring any money, watches, or other valuables. The organizing committee is not responsible for any lost items of value. The organizing committee considers all participants to have read and accepted the declaration on the registration form.







AWARDS

  • Specially designed medals, trophies, and monetary award will be granted to everyone who is qualified to take the podium in the women's and men's general categories. 

  • Awards will be granted to Turkish and foreign athletes in the general classification for half-marathon status and only to Turkish athletes ranked in the top 7 in age groups.

  • 5 foreign athletes will be able to receive the award on condition that they are in the top 15.

  • Other foreign athletes in the top 15 will not receive any awards.

  • Athletes who are qualified to be granted with monetary award in two different categories in the competition can only receive the higher award. The other monetary award will be granted to the athletes in the newly formed top 3, from the bottom to the top of the ranking.

  • The scope of the awards will also be announced on the event website.



AGE GROUPS

In the age groups of 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75+, the results will be classified as male and female.



WARNINGS

All information about the organization may be changed by the administration (e.g., route, date, chip distribution area, etc.). All information regarding possible changes will be announced via social media accounts and the event website.
